Daughter of the City

14' x 30', 2004, destroyed in 2008.

This mural was designed and painted by the first crew of ABC (Art Builds Community), a mural painting program for teenagers which I founded in 2004. ABC still operates broadly in many neighborhoods of Boston and its surrounding communities, employing teens and adult artists in the creation of community art. See their good work at http://abc.xbuild.com/

The mural bears the inscription from youth artist, Hais Wilson, "When you learn to see without your eyes, you'll see something more potent, more true, you'll see you."
